Health Organization: Our team introduced a rapid development methodology
that lead to the successful completion of HIPPA Web Remediation assessment. We
implemented the rapid process to document business requirements and obtain project
approval in under four weeks. This reduced the normal internal process by three
months. We also implemented the rapid process to document the business requirements
for the CMS Disease Management Demonstration Application within nine business
days reducing our client’s typical requirements and scope assessment effort
by five months. Shortly after delivery of the business requirements, we provided
a project inception assessment, which included a full IT infrastructure review
and recommendation, product and vendor selection, project delivery approach and
staffing, initial project estimate, and an initial project timeline and project
plan. We went on to provide overall Project Management and development services
for this application deploying rapid development techniques while working seamlessly
with our client’s existing IT procedures and approval processes. We were
able to reduce the typical project delivery time by 50%, achieve system acceptance
from the business and IT organizations, and deliver within 7% of the original
project budget. Disease Management Company: Our team
was asked to spearhead a corporate initiative to replace all internal core enterprise
applications to accommodate growth and expanding business offerings. We developed
a comprehensive IT Strategy to address these business drivers including an approach,
scope of effort, risk assessment, methodology, interdependencies, organizational
and business impacts, implementation strategy, target timeline, and preliminary
cost estimate. As the Lead Project Manager, developer, and delivery agent
for the IT Strategy recommendations, we drove all phases of the system life cycle
– from project inception to implementation support – culminating in
a successful implementation of the core system. Since implementing the core system,
our client has been able to add four new service offerings, increase revenue by
300%, and reduce the IT time-to-market by 75%. As part of the transition
activities, we worked with the management to redefine their support and staffing
needs, implement operational procedures for the new system, implement a new system
enhancement and project request system, and ensure all of our client’s IT
resources are properly trained and capable of proving long-term system support.
